In general terms having your lawn fertilised in the winter will improve the grass’ health and appearance. It will ensure your lawn is fed the correct nutrients it needs to stay healthy. (Slow release).

Using our lawn fertilisers in winter will ensure your lawn is kept strong and dense and therefore able to cope with and recover well from difficult conditions such as drought, cold snaps or heavy traffic. Healthy lawns are tough and therefore more resilient to moss, weeds and disease.

Most lawn fertilisers will contain nitrogen, potassium and phosphorus, identified as NPK on the label, but can contain other trace element nutrients that can be beneficial for lawns. Our winter lawn fertilisers contain more phosphate and potassium which will encourage the growth of roots and strengthen the lawn.
